Yeah doing this instead of a pic today because these thoughts are very fresh

2024....Well at least it started alright for me owo;

Yeah 2024 is one of those "WHEN IS IT OVER!?" Years for me but hey you know me, I like to start with the positives first

1. A LOT of Shinies for me this year! yep! from Bulbasaur to Tatsugiris, to Sobble to LApras, a full list of shinies I found will take a long while but believe me when I say the shiny pokemon I got this year alone skyrocketed! for those who wanna see that full list, join my discord server
2. Paper Mario the Thousand Year Door remake came out and what a shock, a game that did everything the last rpgs did before sticker star was AMAZING, who would've thought?
3. a new job prospect that's supposed to give me more benefits and a higher salary was introduced to me
4. I actually got to wear my Marth cosplay from last year!
5. a Long 5 year minimum search is over, I finally got Fire Emblem Path of Radiance! (for those who are going to say "WhY nOt EmUlAtE iT?" it's because I prefer owning physical media if I could help it
6. a lot of good stuff from yugioh getting announced including a new deck I love known as Maliss
7. of course gaining new friends like @BagelofTime, @MioDevles, etc as well as some on Discrd
8. I...wanna say I broke the 3 years curse? for those who don't know I have this thing called the "3 years curse" where every 3 or so year I lose a close friend(s) over my own stupidity, not in a "Drifted a part" loss I mean "VERY bitter breakup" kinds of lost friends and...unless I did my math wrong...nothing like that happened!
9. actually made a serious effort to watch some kamen rider series and...yeah you can see why I devoted a fair amount of this month to that series lol
10. Super Mario Party Jamboree came out and maaaan if there was ever a game that made Mario Party Superstars look half-assed it's this one! ...ok there are some things I like better in superstars (Like 3 bonus star options) but overall it was pretty damn good!

but....of course there's also the bad so...

1. Election season, now don't worry I ain't going to go too deep into politics (I'm just an oc maker who wants to have fun) but the ads made me WISH there was an ad blocker for Switch and android phones for the app since all they boiled down to is "HEY THIS PERSON POO! DID YOU KNOW THAT!?" and it took a toll on my mental health
2. Of course all the Celeberty Deaths...yeah I'm not going to pull a 2016 and say "Meh it's no one I knew so I don't care" just gonna say my condolences to the related parties
3. this year...also felt a bit mean spirited with a lot of stuff going on in dms and servers and even in some youtube posts, one too many "Oh stop being sensitive and grow up LAWL" posts I've seen...also did some damage on my mental health (2024 is apparently the year of stuff fucking with my mental health)
4. I failed my new years resolution from last year "Have 5 stuff posted at least each month"...yeah there's a reason why I tend not to make them, because shit happens that causes the said resolution to be forgotten/discarded
5. Idk why but this december...I didn't feel super festive at all, idk might be because I was preparing to make this journal or me reflecting about this year in general just felt more of the seasonal depression this year
6. the D.A. Scambots as per usual it's a problem but they're not gonna stop just because I acknowledge them

Just Idk the year in general felt like "Hey let's damage DGK's Mental Health by being as mean spirited as possible! point and laugh at the misfortune 24/7"

-sighs- I am usually hopeful that things do get better and why I Put 0 stock in the saying "your day revolves around your mood", because shit happens, would a tornado stop blowing if I was all smiles and "TODAY IS A GOOD DAY~!"? would me being pissed for an entire day mean no one would DARE try to cheer me up? ....no which is why I try to march on hoping things get better, Hope is what drives me to continue living, without Hope...there's nothing so will 2025 be better? I have my doubts, but I HOPE it is, I HOPE things get better, I HOPE things get more positive, it's just who I am

Now with that all out of the way...what do I have planned for 2025? well.....

1. some daily posts starting on pokemon day 2025....which I meant to do on 2024 buuut my mood was so shit that day that I completely forgot about it and when I remembered....it was late march-
2. Kamen Rider Duelist Batch 2 is in the works (And will be opening requests for that too)
3. I have a theme for Villainous Duelist ocs later this year
4. for my discord friends I will be opening a duelist oc project based on a "let's make an oc together" pic
and of course I will opening a poll like last year about who shall become a main duelist oc for this year too given how well it went (That's without sarcasm btw, albeit wishing some people were a bit more active with me....)

I know I'm a bit late on this but with me doing my yearly post during Duelistcember I keep forgetting to do this (also P.S. the next post will be delayed tomorrow because it's another Narumi and Tokime situation)
