ok, so its about time i started drawing again. i have a whole bunch of images i want to do, and i should stop farting around and do them.
that said and done, this WASNT one of the pieces i have on my extensive list of arts to do, but i felt it needed to be done anyway.
This is Jodie. Jodie is a member of my totally ancient story/art project "Earth Angels" from way way back when i was like...12 or 13. i havent properly drawn her in like...three years. the last time i drew her was for my "Gang" piece, and that was just a tiny headshot.
so i decided, what with it being a nice day outside and all that i'd dedicate the afternoon of Good Friday 2007 to creating a decent piece of artwork for her. so ii sat in the garden and drew.
and this is the result. im rather pleased with it myself. NO digital manipulation went into this other than to resize it and to give it the same quality on the screen as it does looking at it in my ancient Earth Angels sketchpad (i've had the damn thing about 5 or 6 years, still havent filled it up)
Jodie is actually a human/demon hybrid who was brainwashed by the Shadow Forces and modified with a drug called Morphosis to give her phenomenal power. Her main skill is energy casting, she can generate balls of plasma and use them like grenades, she can also gather the energy and produce a power beam blast of varying intensity. To date the most powerful beam she has ever unleashed was about the width of the QE2 bridge in London (four lanes of motorway traffic). these larger blasts take an enormous toll on her body. Other abilities include flight by using her blasts as propulsion, and the ability to "Shadow Slide" or use Shadows as teleportation portals.
She was first deployed AGAINST the Earth Angels, but they broke her free of her mind conditioning and she now fights as one of them.
I have tweaked her design a bit since i last drew her, and this is now probably as close to her design in my head as im ever gonna get her, short of actually drawing her realistically. i also tweaked her outfit, her old outfit was way too plain and boring.
comments and critique welcomed, especially on shading and pencil work. anatomical issues are always welcomed.

you have received word from me in person about this image. but i will have to emphasise; good boobs. awesome shading. you've just got to put as much effort in the backgrounds now man and you'll have real pro pics.
feet can improve (i hate them too), and your figure's stance is generally ore awkward than a normal person's wouyld be. unfortyunately the only way to remedy that is either be completely amazing and un derstand perfectly how the human body works, or copy a real life figure, from real life preferably.
