Yep, it was the morning of Malak's 21000th birthday and Xalveros's immortality is now fading from old age. Malak really didn't want Xalveros to go, but Xalveros told him that they were too old and their immortality is fading, and so it was time for Malak to take control of the soul collecting business.
And with that, Xalveros passed away.
Poor Malak, orphaned again, but now the new overlord...!
