It was her, Pinekit, and her brother Oakkit’s naming ceremony, and they were going to become apprentices! Her tortoiseshell coat felt warm in the greenleaf sun, and she smiled. Pinekit’s pale ginger coat shone like gold in the sun, and her brother, Oakkit’s thick pelt let out a warm glow. They all padded toward the Highrocks, where Hazelstar, the leader of the ForestClan, was situated. The leader’s coat glowed slightly like fiery tree wood. When she finally sat down in front of her leader, Dappledkit blinked, her big jade eyes wide and staring at Hazelstar and all of the large cats before her.
