Alikai [A-le-kai]

The Alikai are large mammals native to Terria,living in the territories of Tekiar,Uspea,Strovea and Vaustia.theyre size is around 6.5-6.7ft (2.00-2.07m tall)

They're believed to be a species with thousands of years of evolution at the same time that they were a feared species due to their powerful jaw,speed and agility.Even so, they would be domesticated after having rescued a lost child from a snowstorm [a folk tale known as Son of Alikai].

After that,they would become an essential part of life in Terria,serving to pull carts or to move through inhospitable terrain,they were bred to care for and protect,being extremely loyal to their owners/riders.Unfortunately the Alikai would suffer from a massive extinction,this was due to a genetic failure that they possessed by nature,for 1800 years it was believed impossible to bring them back

But it was the rapid scientific progress,more specifically in the genetic field,which gave them a second chance,removing that failure that dommed them

Now the Alikai are back in the spotlight, but in different and smaller roles

From mounted police and therapeutic services to exhibitions!
