My name is Daniel Storm, and I am a starving car artist living in the St. Louis metropolitan area.
In the late eighty’s and early ninety’s, I was an illustrator working on projects for GM and Ford. I ran the illustration program at the GM plant in Wentzville, Missouri, my second year there. After a few years of marketing for McDonald’s, I went back to Ford as a regular employee at their St. Louis Assembly Plant in Hazelwood, Missouri.
When the plant closed in 2006, I took an “Educational Buyout” from Ford. I went back to school and obtained an Associates Degree in Illustration. I am now creating a body of work so I can have my own web site.
On my gallery here I have elected to post all of my school work, including my process work, followed by my car sketches, finished drawings and paintings.
In the spring of 2011 i was hired by Trader Joe's as a sign artist. I cannot say enough about Trader Joe’s. It is a wonderful place to work! My wife, Nancy, and i have been fans of Trader Joe’s for years, and i like them all the more now that i work for them. I can honestly say that i look forward to going into work every shift. It’s a high energy place full of friendly people of all kinds, and i really feel good about the products that they sell there. I am very lucky to work for them.
