Cygnature [siɲatyʀ] combines the French words "cygne" ([siɲ], swan) and "signature" ([siɲatyʀ]). The swan was the animal I tried to draw the most in middle school.
I graduated from high school with a Baccalaureate I chose only to get out of another one I had not chosen. After high school, since I had fallen short of alternative ways to get out of the traumatizing and damaging environment I cannot truthfully call a family, I ended up in some type of homeless shelter where most experiences I had added to it.
I took Italian classes online after high school, completed the Duolingo tree in March 2022, then started the Irish tree but had to take a break from it. In 2019, I volunteered for charity for a few months, worked in a library at one point, and volunteered in early 2022 as a French teacher on a multilingual server on Discord.
Now 24, I started drawing on my own when I was denied drawing classes in childhood because that's how I am, and in 2022, started (very) occasionally painting with acrylic. Having been part of a weekly creative workshop for 13 months in my last town, I also tried my hand at plastic arts for a while, and found myself a taste for experimenting with various forms of visual arts.
So far, my galleries contain mostly traditional drawings, a few paintings, various crafts, amateur photographies and a few weak attemps at getting something out of Paint.net. My process is generally cheap because I don't believe in buying expensive material to make art, and it would not be worth it since I am too flaky to practice regularly.
In 2021, I took a screening test for ADHD that turned out negative, and was told I had an anxiety disorder that wasn't specified in the report. I'm still struggling with the same things as before, despite having less severe anxiety as before, and I think it's stupid now that I am writing this.
In 2022, I got into an art college. I was denied any accommodation for the fact I have chronic pains for no real reason, my experience there was overall insufferable 80% of the time, and I dropped out after six months. Those few sessions of being expected to use gouache almost perfectly from the very beginning with zero explanation while I had never touched it prior and had no clue of what I was doing left me with such a vivid aversion for it that I think I might never touch it again if I can avoid it.
In September 2023, I went to university in another town, and started a double major in modern literature and art history. After completing the first semester, I changed to go into linguistics, and have been studying it since February 2024. In university, I had Italian classes, and recently started FSL (French Sign Language).
I will rarely log in to DA because I have the time but not the management, and I still haven't started drawing again since February 2023. If I find some of the discipline that went missing before I could learn it, I might do mandalas and photography instead. I stopped long ago replying to every single comment thanking me for a favourite and may not reply to a message immediately, but I do read them when I log in, and will eventually respond to direct messages. Thank you for your understanding.
