Description
Apart from Yubel x Juudai, Yu-Gi-Oh GX had more than enough opportunities for other ships, and there were also so many other lovable characters. I can easily be blamed for neglecting a good many of them in my obsession with Juudai and Yubel. This here is my try to remedy that and put other characters in the spotlight for once too.
So, while rewatching the third season of GX when I am on the train to university, I thought that I might be giving some love and fanarts to the rare pairings and rare characters that usually do not have this much fanart. Like Misawa Daichi/Bastion Misawa and Taniya (or is her name written Tanya?) here.
I also just cannot get over the fact how GX has the tradition of having "marriage/love duel episodes" which are episodes in which the duelists fighting against each other declare their love to one another or use cards that are themed around wedding. Episode 20 with Rei using cards that made Juudai's heroes fall in love was hilarious, especially when Juudai claimed that heroes don't need to be in love. Then episode 47 in which Manjoume Thunder /Chazz Princeton tries to win Asuka's heart. Or the episode where Juudai fused souls with Yubel. Yeah, this is some sort of tradition in GX that is even continued in ZEXAL, though in that series there is even a documented case of pregnancy!
Episode 36 also fits into this pattern. In this episode, Taniya here tries to get a groom and decides to go for Misawa. It is just epicly hilarious to see the manly amazoness being all fangirly and then switching to being all manly the very next second. And then also seeing the usually totally composed Misawa falling in love and then dealing with heartbreak the next episode, so much so that he even drinks out a bottle of tabasco sauce.
I love how in GX the girlfriends that the guys get are so manly - well, in one case even actually being half male, but yeah.
Hope someone enjoys.
