“The Hell We Create”
Date: Unknown [Three Weeks After Anomaly]
Over what felt like hours, Don tried his best to put to words his refreshed memory of that day. He had seen plenty of questionable things during his time in the Marine Corps and with Skylark, but that day had been the craziest thing he had seen. It had been so drilled into his head to just ignore what had happened that he had mostly forgotten about it. Weaver had sat there following along intently, hardly speaking or even moving save for occasionally writing something down on his sci-fi looking tablet. Luckily, by the time he was getting towards the end, he was getting more used to speaking again. Sure, the muscles were different and he often slurred his words, but it was understandable to Weaver… At least he hoped so.
“So that is it?” Weaver exhaled slowly before reaching for his cup of now cold coffee.
“Yeah… I wasn’t allowed to

“Waiting For The Sky To Change”
Date: Unknown [Days? Weeks (?) After Anomaly]
It had been several days since Don and Mike had arrived wherever they had been dragged into. It was hard to keep track of time between the lack of clocks and the almost dreamless spans of sleep. Even then, it was obvious that the ONI Agents were sampling a spread of things on both of them. Drugs, stimulants… things. Neither had any idea, but they felt things, ups and downs, anger and sadness, all the while being forced to sleep for unknown stretches. It was daunting; mentally exhausting; Unending. Weaver only seemed to stoke the embers as much as he could; clearly prodding them with the same rotation of questions hoping for some sort of discrepancy.
That night, or whatever sort of time frame it might have been, Don was finally getting a solid sense of rest. Over all this time he had only had brief nightmares and null

“Whereabouts Unknown”
Don opened his eyes frantically as he gasped. He breathed in panicked, ragged breaths, his eyes stung. Everything in his vision was bright, washed-out blurs. Finding no relief in blinking, he tried to rub his eyes only to find his limbs were bound at his side. He gave a grunt as he pulled against the restraints. As he did, he felt his face sort of… fall apart? Something was very wrong. He grew deathly stiff as he blindly tried to figure it out. It felt like his jaw had been split down the middle and was just hanging in front of his nose. Were his injuries that bad?
“Fascinating.” The low, steely voice spoke from beyond Don’s sight.
Don panicked. His breathing grew faster. This caused his jaw parts to move around, unnerving him further. Trying to form words, it came out unintelligible and far deeper than he was expecting. Don jerked against the restraints, his mind

Don Caster & Michael Brook
Onboard a Skylark C-17 Globemaster en route to Papago Airfield, Arizona, USA
Don was woken from his sleep by a painful smack on his shoulder, causing him to jump slightly. He jerked from the inside wall of the cargo plane, his right fist balled lightly as he readied himself. With a grimace, he glanced over to see Mike pulling his hand back. The man held a shit-eating grin; fit of a jester.
"Wake up, Donnie,” Mike spoke softly, his lips tight as he held back his amusement. “It's time to get up and get ready for school."
Don groaned loudly, sagging back against the wall beside him. “Fuck off, Mike.” He growled at the man before trying to close his eyes quickly, hoping that his friend would leave him alone.
The man chuckled. “Aww… Does my lil’ soldier need five more minutes?”
“No…” What was the point? Don sighed

Stains of War: Chapter 26
CHAPTER 26 Their search for a keep did indeed see them into the night, though sunset did bring something rather unexpected: a Sangheili huntress. She had managed to take them by surprise just as Qikost and Suban appeared overhead, greeting them with an arrow aimed directly at Vino’s hearts as they rounded a sharp bend in the path. Luckily, the path had widened, allowing Maxsa adequate room to stamp her clawed feet in irritation. Vino had known right away that he was facing a female – or at least a very small, less dominant male. She had stopped short of loosing her arrow, but she hadn’t lowered her bow.
“Who are you?” she had hissed, th...

Stains of War: Chapter 23
CHAPTER 23 Mahzra was starting to buy into the Pale Blade’s lies. But worse than that, Ashurah was starting to believe them too. It had been easy to ignore him at first. Now, it was just getting harder and harder.
“Your mother is dead. I killed her myself. And your cousin, the Jumper – he abandoned you. He looked you in the eye and then turned his back on you.”
“You gave him no choice!” Ashurah always did his best to bite his tongue, but it never seemed to work. He had the same quick temper his mother had been known for in her youth. Besides, he couldn’t stand to watch Mahzra wilt under the weight of the Pale Blade’s words. “You held ...
Sorry about the sudden inflow y'all. I forgot to submit stuff to the group as I went along, so I decided to go ahead and catch up. That shouldn't happen again.
