Valentine's Day Weapon and Target.

Holiday's have become so generic and cookie cutter it seems. I do not believe in such things. My Valentine's day gift and Target has been carefully planed for tonight. A never wilting rose roughly 130 light years in diameter and 5000 light years away. The Rosette Nebula. Funny enough, also known as the Skull nebula(Caldwell 49).

 My bow will be my Skywatcher Evo 72. Normally I would use my prized Vixen A81M for such a task, but with the shorter focal length (420mm vs 910mm) I can possibly catch 3 open star clusters and the Double star epsilon Mon A in the constellation Monoceros. I have picked a dark location with low light pollution and tonight's weather is clear with temps in the mid 40'. With the target fairly high in the sky this time of year, I should be able to start imaging right after astronomical twilight. Time on Target will be +3 hours or until all my batteries die.
