And my school has the only enameling major...but it's getting merged with their jewelry and metals major sometime soon :/

Well, enameling is not that big topic.. I mean, after a while, the learning process becomes putting random stuff in the furnace to see what happens. : ) What can you do with this degree there? Is the situation just as hopeless as here? (I live in Hungary.)
yeah, there's not much else to do with it so that's why it's getting merged.
