Little Bitty Legumes

So that new Mario & Luigi: Brothership game releases today (as of this piece going live). Guess it's a good time as any to upload a pic pertaining to the Mario & Luigi series.

I originally had plans to post this pic when the remake of Superstar Saga came out years ago. Unfortunately, I never got around to posting this cause, at the time, I had no idea what to title this. :/

Due to them being age-regressed into babies, Popple and Fawful lack the knowledge of differentiating between what's real and what's fake. In this case, they assume what they're fighting over is the REAL BeanBean Star, much to the annoyance of Cackletta. 😆 All the screaming and yelling is irritating Tolstar, who just wanted to sleep this regression off like a bad hangover.

Drew this way back in Oct. 2017 and finished in early Nov. 2017. Yes, I completed this pic 7 years ago and I'm just now uploading it.

This piece was actually the first time I've ever drawn Popple and Fawful. Much like the first time I drew Tolstar several years ago, I drew my fan-made baby versions of Popple and Fawful as a first attempt at drawing them, rather than drawing them as adults. (I'll eventually draw a pic of them as adults). 🙃

I was attempting to color this pic in the Superstar Saga (GBA) coloring style. I had to color Tolstar last and apply what I learned from coloring the other 3, since they all have Official Artwork, but Tolstar does not. 

ARTIST COMPLAINT:
I couldn't think of a background for this piece (was way too lazy to draw an actual scenery), so I picked some random brush tool, chose different shades of green & purple, and slapped this piece of shit background together. The white highlights around the characters were a last-minute add-on just to keep them from blending too much with the background. 😗

Eeh, guess that's about it; 'cept enjoy.
