Trust me, it’s not much money. But I did upload 750 some odd images just to DeviantArt alone in less than a month. I put quotes around the “flooding” part because that’s the biggest beef people have is the sheer volume of output. No mortal human being is creating 750 images at the quality of what I published. Hell, even most the AI artists you see online can’t hit the quality of what I’ve published.

So overall, I am being a bit snarky  just  for the fun of it. but I’ve looked at most the people following me, and nobody is posting at a rate like that. It’s like manually loading a musket while someone next to you has a fully automatic Gatling gun. One is just naturally going to fire of more bullets faster, and ultimately that’s what it takes to make any type of real reaction in such an always flooded market.

Art has been around since prehistoric times, and even though you can’t google a single word without pulling up 1 million images, it doesn’t mean anybody should stop trying.

As for AI doing the work,  does it matter? If an image is visually pleasing to you, it doesn’t matter how it was made. Every camera has autofocus, every movie has CGI (not just superhero films - all of them), every photo editor has auto filters. It’s all AI. Not only is AI responsible for everything made in the last five-ten years, but it’s also how we discover it.

Sure, anybody can make anything with AI Image generators, but that doesn’t mean anybody will know how to navigate the art business. it doesn’t mean anybody understands how I made the stuff I did. Each one is a different style that would require a very thorough knowledge of both art and culture to dissect.

The end result is the same either way, so hating AI is no different than hating photoshop or cameras or search algorithms or computers  in general. It’s like hating shovels and being mad that some people are using them to dig for gold while you’re still digging holes with your hands. I don’t have a problem with the Amish, but I’m fascinated at where they draw the line between the technologies of god and satan. To each their own I suppose, but there are far worse things in this world than people selling an image they generated  with software instead of stealing 10 photos from google for reference and drawing themselves.
