Of course awesome Uriel

There is ONLY ONE handsome buddy, ave Satan!

Grata, are you mad? They are archangels, not handsome buddies!

A short story of "how to" create light and transpaernt architecture interior via watercolor.
This is the interior of romanesque church in France. Pretty simple and brutal: squat and simple columns, bare vaults without decorations and carvings, laconic arches. Perfect thing  to make it bright and unusual with the help of color.

Eglise Saint-Jean de Montierneuf

For this work I was using only six colors:
- ocher
- cadmium yellow
- english red
- carmin
- violet
- ceruleum
Pairs of ocher + english red and cadmium yellow + carmine gave me the main base colors. Here are two secrets:

- mix in different proportions, see how it fits better, make overflows.

- in each pair, one color is transparent, and the second is opaque. Ocher and cadmium are transparent, english red and carmine are opaque.

But basic colors are not all. Artwork need a shadow. Usually the shadow is cold, but for my taste with ocher and especially english red, blue shadows do not work well, so I took violet. It has excellent coverage and, when mixed with two base shades, gives two types of shadows: quite light and dark. Not all shadows are made by mixing three colors - sometimes it's a layer of pure violet on top of one of the base ones.

Separately - ceruleum, which played the role of the light of the sky. The moment when the light is cold.
And that is! Take only six colors - and this will be pretty enough to create bright and still clean color spectrum.
