Keep in mind this is 3 years old soon and of course things have changed. I'm not against hunting for survival where people actually go hunting to survive but there's many cases that aren't this case that's what the stamp is aimed towards. Carnivores and Herbivores are needed to keep both in check, overhunting on either of them will cause imbalance, or simply hunting for fun.
"Do you see the difference? Cowardice. Compassion. The coward hides behind, the brave won't fire. You wouldn't hurt another human, would you? Then why hurt an animal? "They are bad for the enviroment". Really? Who is the real "bad ones"? Start focusing on our real problems here. We don't need to hunt to survive. They do. The hunter holds the gun, but the hunted holds their ground. Humans bear the responsibility, the unfair hunting, killing and shooting... Has to stop, or it'll all be gone."
I began thinking about this after watching this video. It's GRAPHIC!
It's also in Norwegian, but in the comment section of the video, they are PRAISING the dog to hurt these animals.

Hurting an animal, another life, is a huge shame. They can't defend themselves with WORDS, like humans do. Please consider that just because you dont hear them scream, doesnt mean they're not in PAIN. Almost all animal torture and cruelty leads to HUMAN violence and cruelty.

(Two very good articles)
As for the subject that humans need to control the animal population by killing the predaotrs or the prey... It makes little logic.
Lets take wolves for an example.
Once every 10th hunt they are sucsessful. They prey on the weak animals, the sick ones... And prevent those SICK animals to breed and pass on the sickness. "Oh, but then the wolves will kill too many!" No. Prey learns too at the same time as the predator. They'll develop new tricks and evolve to survive, and so then will the predator. It's all balanced. You may say that humans can take care of this? No. It's not all about that.

Some people might argue that wolves take their sheep. Ever thought of why? Because I doubt wolves will do that because they want to troll you and be evil. Think about this. There's few elk because humans hunt many of them, and we dont want competition. The wolf sees a sheep. Hairy, short legs and easy to take. They go for it and catch it, but then are chased away and hunted to the death because of the farmer couldnt even look after his "beloved" sheep. Not only that, but hunters take the prey away from the hunters, and then livestock becomes their only chance of feeding. You see the bad cycle? Get an alpaca, they'll defend the sheep and lead the sheep away if there's danger.
I suggest watching this video as well

We dont need to hunt, most hunts are for sport anyway. We have livestock, and yes I know that a lot of these places treat animals bad, but in the end humans are too monsters, because what "sets us apart" from animals is our intelligence. Animals need to be treated with respect and kindness. If you're a part of a religion, or believe in evolution, animal hurting isnt right!
It's wicked to use this natural intelligence, strategy and planning against the animals who cant even SPEAK their opinion... Everyday animal cruelty happen, and if you care even the slightest for your four legged friends and humans, this has to stop.
"But the wolves have killed many humans! They are bad and evil!"
Do you see the issue with this logic?
Look at Hitler, Osama Bin Laden, IS.... WAR. Humans are more monsters than the "monsters" in the wild. That argument is unlogical and just lame in my opinion.
Also... Rodeos. Do I even have to start on this? They are all just cowards. Covering their face when they've done their rodeos or Pigeon shooting. This is all from SHARK, "SHowing Animals Respect and Kindness", who try to expose these things, but just look at the videoes they upload, and I doubt I have to explain myself. Animals don't enjoy rodeos, they don't. I'm sure if we could communicate with them, they'd agree. Look at the cowards, "prouding" themselves over shooting pigeons, but covering their faces when they leave. Why are they so afraid? Because it's wrong!

Yes, I know I'm a little repetitive here, but I felt like it all had to be mentioned.
If you can't take this mature, I won't even bother responding to you.
Show your care, stand up against this!
I'm not targeting at anyone, I'm not attacking anyone. I just want to have you to think about this.

I'm not meaning to be disrespectful or 'immature' here - and I really do hope to get a response out of you. I mean no harm. c:

We've been doing it for centuries. And not just us, other predators as well! And while I am 100% against making an animal suffer, I do understand that you can kill an animal in a humane manner. Dragging out somethings death is sick, and should not be condoned. Though if you'll look at the slaughter houses, those are only as 'humane' as they are required to be by law. How is that any better than hunting? This is the point where you'll typically be asked if you consume meat.
Humans are omnivores, and that means a good majority of us consumes meat.
Animals do scream, just not like humans do.
I've seen a screaming, terrified rabbit in the jaws of a coyote.
Or a snake struggling to get out of the talons of a hawk.
Predators more often than not will eat their prey alive. There are hundreds of videos of this as proof, especially in lions and wolves. Honestly a predator doesn't care for what its prey feels, it just wants to eat.
So animals are not all that better than we are in that regard.
But I do very much agree that since humans can understand that, we should be making more of an attempt to be less cruel to animals.
Also as far as your links go, PETA is not a very good organization....Please google PETAKILLS. A lot of the videos of animal violence is STAGED BY THEM. They try and get you to feed into their cause, and their pockets, and at the end of the day THEY are the ones that caused all that pain and suffering.
Not a good place to be getting information from...sorry. :/

Actually it makes a lot of logic. Once you get out of this hunting is bad mentality you'll come to understand that.
They do NOT prey on sick animals. They do not prey on the elderly. They prey on pregnant mothers and rip the fetal animals from the womb.
Nature does not work like a disney movie, predators do not casually ask if their prey is willing to die over a cup of tea. When the prey declines in death, they don't just leave and ask again the next day.
Either the wolf is going to take down that elk, or that wolf is going to be impaled or stomped to death. c:
And your argument here doesn't really...make any sense. So how exactly does a balance work if humans are hunting, and wolves are hunting, and the elk are just there like what.
I don't get it.
In b4; HUMANS SHOULDN'T HUNT.
You forget that humans have been hunting for centuries. And we have been making a constant impact on animals for that long. We are, and always will be, part of nature. No matter how our society advances, in fact the more we grow and expand the more we impact the wildlife. So what happens when a city starts to build new homes where a bunch of deer and the like used to call home? Where are the deer going to go? Somewhere with food. Okay so, what happens when there are too many deer in a certain area? They overgraze. And eventually they don't have anymore food. So they starve. They run in front of cars. And you're talking about painful deaths. Imagine laying on the hot pavement in agonizing pain, your lungs filled with blood just so that you can barely breath, and you're waiting for death.
Yeah. That's what you're suggesting. That we just pack up our stuff and let nature deal with itself. Sorry, we're not going anywhere. And that's why we must continue to cull wildlife populations. There are people who spend their life dedicated to this sort of thing, and they know a little bit more about you on the subject.
Sorry to put it so harshly, but I get sick of the same arguments about why hunting is wrong when people don't even understand why we have hunting.
Hunting isn't just about being mean to animals and killing them.
And if that's all you see it as you really should not have any sort of opinion on the subject, because you don't know what the subject is!
And there are a LOT of regulations as far as hunting goes. So a hunter who wants to keep their license is not going to torture an animal for hours on end. In fact, no hunter is likely to do that.
It's also really kind of shitty that you basically say that killing live stock is a-okay but hunting isn't. ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Also before you try and say I don't care about animals - I do. I'm studying to become a vet. And I am also learning how to hunt. And I can assure you that before I go out and hunt that I be able to take out the animal quickly. Because in all honesty if I cause any more pain than necessary I probably will cry but...yeah.
