It seemed only appropriate that through the entire week after what had been dubbed “Grief Day” by government and media alike, it was either raining or just cloudy. All across the globe, people were mourning the deaths of the thousands of girls whose lives were cruelly cut short by the Incubators. Once it was revealed that they were collecting souls not to prolong the universe’s life, but to add to the vast collection of their avaricious queen, they had set off what had been dubbed a “dead man’s switch”, which pumped massive amounts of taint into the Soul Gems of every Puella Magi that had not received a TSAB limiter and forcing them to become Eldritch witches—if Earth insisted on denying their queen the souls that were rightfully hers, they said, then the entire planet had to suffer for their insolence.
Many considered it surprising that they’d been able to maintain the ruse after Mami Tomoe had taken on the form of Candeloro on live TV. According to the TSAB-affiliated members of the
Jonathan Harker’s hands trembled as he entered the castle of the vampire lord Dracula. Determined as he was to put an end to the count—and save his beloved Mina in the process—he couldn’t help but feel like he was not the right person for the task. Yet, at the same time, there was a part of him that said otherwise, that not only was he the right person to slay Dracula, he was supposed to.
Steeling himself, he made his way down the hall and into the “throne room”, as he liked to call it. Inside, Dracula was waiting patiently, a throng of his servants (including Renfield and the Weird Sisters) watching from the sidelines.
“So, you’ve finally come, Mr. Harker.”
“I’m here to put an end to you,” Jonathan said, sounding far braver than he felt.
“And to rescue your beloved too, I presume,” Dracula said with an air of nonchalance.
“Let Mina go,” Jonathan growled. “This is between us, so release her now.”
“You’re too late,” the count replied calmly. “Even if she were not already

HANNAH PAISLEY: It was very much like a cult, in some ways. They practically worshipped the supposed founder of the city—I accidentally used the Lord’s name in vain once and a girl asked who Jesus was.

It didn’t take long to reach the New U Tech building—it was only a short distance away from where the Stark Expo had been held back in 2010—and getting in wasn’t that hard either, although their spider powers were a big help in that department. On the way over, Peter helped the others come up with codenames for themselves—after all, they couldn’t all go by Spider-Man, especially since two of them were girls. Ben elected to call himself Scarlet Spider, Anya chose Spider-Girl, Cindy decided on Silk, and Miles picked Black Spider (Anya was a little concerned about that one, but her alternative suggestion of Spy-D was shot down).
“Man, what crazy stuff do you think they’re doing here?” Black Spider wondered aloud.
“They’re a biotech company,” Silk pointed out. “If we’re talking illegal stuff, I’d say probably experimenting with animal DNA. Bet that’s what Miguel was going to report.”
“You know, they might be working on cloning, too.”

The next day, Peter and Kunemon met Cindy outside her building and accompanied her up to her apartment. Inside, two younger teens—a Latina girl seated on the couch in a rather spiderlike position and an African-American boy hanging upside down from the ceiling—were finishing up a movie—Spies in Disguise, if Peter wasn’t mistaken. Upon hearing the door close, the two looked up.
“Is that him?” the boy asked, flipping down and landing on the couch beside the girl.
“He looks...younger than I thought he’d be.”
“Well, to be fair, I did...get Snapped.” Peter rubbed the back of his head, looking uncomfortable.
“Makes sense,” the girl admitted. “I’m Anya, and this is Miles.”
“Peter.” Letting Kunemon climb down from his shoulder, he sat down next to them while his partner followed Cindy into the kitchen. “Cindy told you about me?”
“Yeah, and...Kunemon?” At Peter’s nod, Miles went continued. “She said you might be able to help us learn the ropes, and maybe even help stop those guys. If Mr.

Oh, somewhere in this favored land the sun is shining bright.
The band is playing somewhere, and somewhere hearts are light.
And somewhere men are laughing, and somewhere children shout.
But there is no joy in Marvel—for with Oscar, they’ve struck out.
(PLEASE don’t ask me to elaborate—I’m posting this to get it out of my system, and asking about it will just make me [more] upset.)
Update: I did write something, and I strongly encourage you to take a look.
While I have not actually watched No Way Home--largely because I do not like stories where one or more of the good guys gets framed--I have heard/read enough to get upset. As such, I am hereby placing the ending on my list of Ignored MCU Canon Events (meaning those particular events will never happen in my stories--use your imagination to fill in the blank spots). Said list also includes most of CACW (the major exception is the UN bombing, because T’Chaka’s death is too important to cut out), some parts of Ant-Man and the Wasp, and some parts of Black Widow.
Hey there, fellow Deviants!
Since today is my birthday, I thought I’d post a wishlist of sorts here. Basically, the list below contains pictures that I would like to see. Some are fanart of my works (which can be found in my gallery), others not. If you would like to do one, please let me know when it is finished.
Also, I will update this as necessary, albeit in a separate journal entry.
