Description
Jolyne still did what Jotaro asked of her: She bought some snacks and drinks, as well as a throw blanket and ponchos for the potentiality of having to deal with rain in the future. As she dropped the bags of items in the back of the truck, she noticed her father in a heated phone call, on the other end of the line sounding like her mother.
“JOTARO KUJO! HOW DARE YOU JAILBREAK OUR DAUGHTER?! I AM ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED! WHAT THE HELL WHERE YOU THINKING YOU PIECE OF-”
Jolyne chuckles softly to herself as Jotaro tries to explain himself to his ex-wife, only to be screamed at more. She glanced across the street, looking at the small businesses sprawled in the small area in front of her. Jolyne looks back at her father, seeing he was obviously pre-occupied, before giving a mischievous smirk and wandering off from the vehicle, towards one of the buildings, a bar.
She enters the bar, looking around, before approaching the bar counter.
“…Can I have a screwdriver?”
Jolyne asks the bartender. The barkeeper glimpsed over at Jolyne, raising an eyebrow.
“Can I see your ID?”
He asks, clearly not buying Jolyne was of age. She pulls out her fake ID, sliding it over to him. The bartender looks it over, nodding, and handing it back, before going to make her cocktail. Jolyne sighs softly in relief. Finally, something that would be able to help her relax after a long, crazy day.
“What’s a pretty lady like you doing here?”
Jolyne blinks, before looking to see a man having appeared in the seat next to her. She frowns at him, clearly already not liking the energy he was giving.
“…Travelling through.”
Jolyne responded simply, As the bartender brought over her drink. She took a small sip, before feeling a hand on her back. Jolyne felt her skin crawl, as she glanced back at the hand.
“You know… my house ain’t too far from here. Perhaps you could stay here a few nights… what’s the rush?”
He gives a toothy grin, Jolyne growing more uncomfortable by the second, feeling other patrons beginning to turn their eyes towards the two. She felt the thread from her stand, Stone Free, begin to creep out of her finger, and she took a deep breath.
“Sorry, just here for the drink.”
She responds, as she lassos her thread around the man, spinning him around before throwing him, and then has the thread return. The man spit on the floor, giving Jolyne a death glare as he got back up.
“F**k… Dad’s gonna kill me if I make it out…”
Jolyne growls under her breath, as she prepared to defend herself, unsure what the man was to do next.
