OC and Canon Relationship Meme (Lex)

A little meme template I tried. I thought this one looked fun to do because I love discussing about the relationships my OC's share with the canon characters of Sonic. I did change up a bit of the characters from the original template, since I wanted to show characters that are more canon. Since the IDW comics are canon to the games, I wanted to showcase them as well.

Here are the relationships my OC Lex shares with most of the canon Sonic characters through the games and IDW <3

🌸RELATIONSHIPS🌸

Sonic The Hedgehog - Ever since meeting each other when he saved her from Dr. Eggman and foiling his scheme of making her his enemy, Sonic and Lex have had a close relationship. Throughout their adventures together, they slowly began to crush on one another because Sonic knows that Lex is different from other girls he has known throughout his life. Even if Amy got in the way because of her jealousy (stopping after the events of Sonic Heroes), they still really cared for one another. Then, during the Soleanna Festival at the end of Sonic 06, they finally confessed their feelings for the other and have been a heroic couple ever since then <3

Miles "Tails" Prower - Lex has always had good chemistry with Tails since he often teams up with Sonic during their adventures. She takes great interest in his inventions and she knows that Tails has potential to be a real hero. She gets along with him so well that she sees him as a little brother. They share a sibling like relationship <3

Knuckles The Echidna - Knuckles and Lex often don't get along personally, but she knows that he means well. Lex often tries to steer clear of any conflict she may have with him, but she tries her hardest to get along with him, especially when he teams up with Sonic and Tails during their adventures.

Amy Rose - In the beginning, Amy despised Lex because of her being a competition to win Sonic's heart. They often bicker about Sonic getting involved with the two of them, which often makes Sonic uncomfortable. However, after the events of Sonic Heroes, when Lex finally stepped up and told Amy about how she should let Sonic live by his own terms and not get tied down to anyone he chooses not to be with. Amy found it in her heart to finally give up to win Sonic's love and now the two girls are on good terms with one another. Now in the current time, Lex and Amy are best friends who always have each others back, and even more now that Amy shares a new love with Lex's adopted brother Matthew.

Cream The Rabbit - Lex and Cream share a very close relationship, and Cream does look up to Lex as an idol. Lex often tells her about the adventures she has had with Sonic and sometimes Vanilla entrusts her to look after Cream when she is away. Lex would do all she can to take care of Cream from any impending danger.

Big The Cat - Lex doesn't particularly get along with Big. He often invites her to come fish with him, but since Lex has a fear of sea creatures, she does not take interest. However, during the events of Frontiers, she has tried to fish alongside him at the various fishing spots around the Islands. Thanks to him, she is slowly trying to conquer her fear, but still has a ways to go.

Shadow The Hedgehog - Lex did not get along with Shadow at first when they first met during the events of Sonic Adventure 2. He denied her to the fact that Eggman was just using him for his evil purposes, but he was too complacent and focused on his "purpose" of what Maria wanted. But, when Professor Gerald announced his true motive on wanting to collide the Space Colony ARK with the planet as a way to avenge Maria, Lex confessed to Shadow alongside Amy that Maria would want Shadow to go for what he believes and not what anyone else thinks. Thanks to that, he finally remembered what Maria truly wanted, to help the humans and save the world. Ever since he helped find his purpose, the two slowly began to become comrades. In later adventures, Lex knew in her heart that Shadow was very special to her and she didn't want to lose him in the ongoing threats that could be occurring, as she cared very much for him during the events of Sonic 06 (before the erasing). Shadow at first did not really understand why Lex would want to become very close to him, and even went so far as to be negligant of her during the events of Shadow Generations. But it was this adventure that changed their relationship forever thanks to the discovery of Professor Gerald and Maria... since he was a creation of Professor Robotnik and Lex was a creation of Dr. Eggman, his grandson... their genetics would cause them to become potential cousins. It was this discovery that Shadow realized how he really feels and that her motive of being a hero is something what Maria had for him. From there, even though he has his own legacy of being the Ultimate LIfeform, his new purpose is to protect Lex and always be there for her... his new Maria. <3

Rouge The Bat - Lex and Rouge did not really get along when they first met, since Rouge is so set on finding the most precious gems. Lex does not like to get involved in her schemes and would often think they are degrading. But now since Lex is more involved with Shadow because of their newfound cousin relationship, the two have become dependable allies, often aiding each other in battle.

Vector The Crocodile - Out of the entire Chaotix team, Lex does not like to get along with Vector. She often gets uncomfortable when he yells his big mouth at her and often demanding her for money when she has a request for them to ask. She knows he means well, but she doesn't like to be around him for that reason.

Espio The Chameleon - Out of the Chaotix team, Lex and Espio share a close relationship. They didn't get along on good terms ever since meeting in Sonic Heroes, but after putting aside their distasteful past, Lex started getting along with Espio and taking interest in his battle tactics. Espio decided to take Lex under his wing and train her to become a better fighter as his student. Because of him, Lex gained more strength and confidence in her fighting style. Now that Lex is growing up and knows how she stands on the battlefield, he does not have much else to teach her, but they still remain very close friends. <3

Charmy Bee - Lex and Charmy get along good, with Lex often giving him something as a way to keep him occupied, mostly candy. Charmy does like to play with Lex whenever she comes over and often likes her motives in battle. But sometimes Lex thinks that Charmy can be a bit overbearing.

Belle The Tinkerer - Lex did get along with Belle when they first met and she honestly felt bad for what happened to her and why she was abandoned. However, when she finds out about how she came to be... how Belle was created to be an assistant to Eggman when he lost his memory and went by his former alter ego Mr. Tinker, Lex knew that feeling all too well. Because of this that they have in common... there came the discovery that Belle could be Lex's potential sister since they were both created by Eggman but were abandoned or betrayed. <3

Tangle The Lemur - Tangle immediately got along with Lex with her being involved with Sonic and has a love for adventure. Lex does see her as a helpful teammate and she knows that she has good intentions. <3

Whisper The Wolf - Whisper did not take an interest to talk to Lex when they first met, but because of what Lex has done to save the Wisps from Eggman's Interstellar Amusement Park from the events of Sonic Colors, Whisper's Wisps started to love Lex. This caused Whisper to slowly come out of her shell and begin to open up to Lex because of their love for Wisps and their intentions on becoming fighters. It was also thanks to Whisper that Lex now equips herself with a special bracelet that holds the Hyper-go-on energy of her own team of Wisps that help her out in battle. Whisper can see that Lex has a precious heart and does not want to lose that, she would do all she can to protect her. <3

Blaze The Cat - Lex and Blaze did not really get along when they first met in Sonic Rush, with Blaze believing that she was another obstacle in the way of her retrieving the Sol Emeralds. But when she realized what Lex's true intentions were and how even though she was a creation but a hero, Blaze knows that Lex has true potential. Lex does respect Blaze in what she does and of her relationship she shares with Silver. <3

Silver The Hedgehog - Lex and Silver got off to a bad start ever since officially meeting in Sonic Rivals (since the events of Sonic 06 were erased), thinking that Lex was a threat. However, in later adventures, he began to open up to her and see her as a trusted friend and great ally in battle. In later times, Silver saw something within Lex that felt like he saw her as more than a friend... in his future, Lex no longer exists but was honored as a true hero for the saving of his timeline, and seeing how she does it, he started to see her as a little sister figure. Lex loves Silver and would want nothing more than to see him happy and for his future to be positive, so these two share an adorable sibling like relationship <3

Jewel The Beetle - Since Tangle got along with Lex, she introduced herself to Jewel since they are childhood friends. Lex and Jewel did get along and Jewel envies Lex for her heroism and her part of being in the Resistance, especially during the Metal Virus arc.

Lanolin The Sheep - Lex doesn't particularly get along with Lanolin, only talking to her a few times. However, she doesn't like her all that well because of hearing about how she talked badly down on Silver for taking things too far with "Duo" (which is really Mimic in disguise).

Dr. Eggman - Ever since Sonic saved Lex and helped her go against Eggman, a creation going against her own creator. Eggman despises everything that went wrong with the one creation who he created to be the "ultimate weapon" to defeat Sonic. However, throughout their adventures, when forcing to work together to face bigger threats, especially in the events of Sonic Lost World and Sonic Frontiers, Lex does try to take things easy on Eggman, even if he really deserved to get hurt. A cornerstone came upon them during the end of Sonic Frontiers (the Final Horizon ending): Eggman wanted to have a personal meeting with Lex with no arms bound that his creation Sage would be her potential sister. Lex does not particularly agree, but she decided to back off from Sage for the sake of herself but still see her as an enemy regardless because of what she did to stop her at the Islands. To this day, Lex and Eggman still see each other as lasting rivals.

Dr. Starline - Lex despises Starline for all of the events that happened during the Metal Virus incident and how he tried to overthrow Eggman because of what he did to him. Lex does not believe that Starline can be a better replacement for Eggman, so she did not mourn for his death... she knew it was coming for him.

Surge The Tenrec - Lex met Surge when she was in her first battle with Sonic, and she hated her motive on trying to destroy him. But deep down inside, because Starline messed with their minds before his death, Lex believes that Surge and Kit are not doing what they truly want to do. Nevertheless, Lex has a strong dislike of Surge.

Kitsunami The Fennec - Because Kit is attached to Surge because of him also being brainwashed by Starline, Lex is forced to combatwith him as well. But Lex hates fighting children, and she knows in her heart that Kit is lost and not going for what he thinks is best. Lex is very afraid and refuses to fight Kit in battle. She also believes that she wants to help him find his true path, but she cannot do anything as long as he is running amok along with Surge.

Metal Sonic - Lex has always disliked Metal because of his undying loyalty to Eggman and wanting to conquer the world. She hates his motives ever since he gone rampant during the events of Sonic Heroes, and has continued on ever since he tried to rule the universe under his term when Dr. Eggman lost his memory in the first Arc of IDW. Lex is not afraid to take on Metal and knows that he will never be a true creation like she has turned out to be.

Rough & Tumble - When Lex was first introduced to this bad boy Duo, Lex knew that they were going to be nothing but trouble. But she finds their motives hilarious and loves to tease them while she's battling them. Even though she dislikes these two, she believes that are a running gag to make fun of.

E-123 Omega - Lex hasn't really gotten to know Omega until more recently, and since then, she gets nervous around him because of his programming of wanting to destroy Eggman. Lex knows that Omega is a valuable member to Shadow and Rouge, and will acknowledge of his intentions. She tends to avoid him because he believes since they were both trashed inventions of Eggman, he believes that she was created as an accident.

Zavok (and the rest of the Deadly Six) - Ever since meeting the group on the Lost Hex during the events of Sonic Lost World, Lex has a true hate for all members of the Deadly Six. She particularly hates both Zavok and Zeena because of his tyranny and believing that she is an embarrassment to the women community. She is a bit afraid when Zavok unleashes his giant form for when he is ready for the final blow, but she would do all she can to defeat him.

Gemerl - Lex and Gemerl were enemies during the events of Sonic Advance 3 when he was programmed under Eggman to defeat Sonic and when he went into his Ultimate form. But when finding out that Tails was able to reprogram him to be a protector to Cream and her family, Lex attempted to open up to the robot and get to know him. It wasn't until most recently of since they were both creations of Eggman but have forged a new path to protect those they love, that would make them potential siblings. Lex likes the idea because she respects Gemerl of his intentions of protecting Cream at all cost, so the two have a major respect for each other <3

The Babylon Rogues - Lex met the Babylon Rogues during the events of Sonic Riders and the sequel Zero Gravity, and Lex immediately gained a drive for competition against them, especially Jet. Lex did not like Jet when first meeting him, but through time, she started to see him as a worthy racing rival. To this day, they still are rivals but Lex loves to tease Jet every chance she gets when she sees him, usually calling him a birdbrain XD

Mimic The Octopus - Whisper did tell Lex about her past she shared with her Diamond Cutters group, and she did tell about what Mimic did that destroyed her team forever. Lex now despises Mimic for what he did to her and will do anything to face off against him. She is well aware of the fact that he can shift into other characters and to this day, she finds his alter ego Duo very suspicious when he joined the new Diamond Cutters led by Lanolin.

Orbot & Cubot - Lex did not really get along with Eggman's henchmen when meeting them during the events of Sonic Colors and Sonic Lost World, but through time, she knows that they do not mean any real threat. She did observe that Orbot does have a dislike towards Eggman even though he works for him, and she feels bad that he had to be brought down by him most of the time when he does something wrong. And because of their intention they share, like with Gemerl being creations of Eggman, they are potential siblings. Lex likes getting along with Orbot more than Cubot because he has more sense, but she does not mind getting along with both them when she sees him. She also apologizes to the two of them when she defeats Eggman in battle, with no personal vendetta going for them <3
