basically his dad was a member of the military police who frequently slept around but was "nice" enough to support the ladies who ended up getting pregnant... until the baby was born, anyways. antoine here's mother fought to try and get her son's father to play a bigger role in his life, which resulted in her losing horribly and the public humiliation being enough to force her to take her newborn son and move to one of the small towns on the outer walls

antoine grew up knowing of how much a prick his father was, leading him to want revenge and join the army as a means to get close to his father and take it. he didn't perform well enough to make it into the military police however, and chose to join the garrison instead in hopes of being able to perhaps transfer over someday after years of good service. he WILL get revenge for his beloved mother... even if it ends up killing him.

he has french and irish heritage, the irish being his mother's side.
