I am primarily a traditional skills artisan. Many of the talents I utilize in my work I like to call 'survival skills' which are those creative skills learned throughout my 63 years of being a single mother of 3, and doing work to provide for my children. Sign painting as an example, which I no longer do, but in essence taught me many things - not the least of which was lettering and layout.
