My last journal entry was up for WAY too long.Since then, I actually met Stephen Silver. Well, first I skyped him and he graciously gave me tons of advice about being a professional artist. It's a long story, which I don't have time to type out, but the jist of it is being in LA is so amazing. Even if it can't hold a candle to the beauty and grandeur of Seattle (cough I love Seattle cough)So yes, went to CTN-X, spend WAY too much money buying sketchbooks by J Scott Campell, Francisco Herrera, and others. Had a BLAST talking with random people because literally everyone you meet is an artist.Y'all should come next year and I'll see you there.

Oh my gosh!So I was attending a character design class taught by Tom Sito for the first few weeks of the semester, but I was forced to drop it because of a registration fiasco. I was super crushed, because, hey, it's a class taught by Tom Sito AND it was the funnest thing ever. We basically sat and listened to him tell funny stories about what it was like to animate Beauty and the Beast, Prince of Egypt, Pocahontas, etc. while watching cartoons and viewing slideshows of awesome animation artwork from big-name studios.
