Hello, dA. It's been a long time. I've missed you.
I was a member for many years. Since the early 2000s when dA looked and felt very different when it was a fringe website and not the mainstream large art community it is today. My username was Ceara.
I was active, too. I played a lot of Horse Art RPG (owned Tenebo Stud). I made some wonderful friends over many years through dA and art.
Then I got sick. Very sick.
Many months later, when I was feeling up to art again, I logged back on to dA.
My account had been deactivated.
It had been more than 21 days. I had no memory of deactivating my account.
I can only assume that one of the security breaches that happened a while ago lead to my account having been accessed and deactivated. My email address had been changed.
I contacted dA to ask if there were any way to reactivate my account, even if it meant all of my history, deviations and journals were still lost.
The answer was no.

Thank you! I am terrible about keeping up with my dA. But I am going well. I pulled through although ended up in hospital for about 6 months total in 2021. This year I have managed to avoid relapses entirely though, which has been great! I'm still living with pretty significant disability and very much miss being able to do things like go on hikes or out in crowds (my immune issues mean I have to stay masked). But life is good. I'm working. I'm doing art. I'm getting out for adventures
