Sea Daffodils on Crete

The "sea daffodil" (pancratium maritimum) is a flowering plant that grows in sandy soils around the Mediterranean. It flowers from August to October. These were growing on the south coast of Crete in September. Each flower lasts only a brief time, by the next day some of the blooms had already died back, so you are asked not to pick them.
