Here it is the original cover to my independent, creator-owned comic, Alcatraz High #1
Pencils by me and Color Design by Michael Greenholt!
This dates back to 2003, I was still at Disney Feature Animation and I had just finished animating on Treasure Planet. Some people thought my main character looked a bit like Jim Hawkins. Sure he's kinda in there, because I animated him and I drew him over and over again. Of course some of that will seep in.
As I've said before, when I first started Alcatraz High my style was heavily influenced by Disney and once I left and started working on Avatar the Last Airbender, then my style switched to a more anime influence.
I am posting the comic on my Alcatraz High tumblr page. Come and follow the action, the comedy, a little bit of romance, cheerleaders, mech robots and see where my art style eventually switches. alcatrazhigh.tumblr.com/
