My entry for 
's contest for her Atlantis OC Emily Thatch, Milo's younger sister who is both deaf and mute and accompanies him on his expedition to Atlantis. While Milo and their grandfather love and accept her despite her disabilities, Milo even being her translator for the sign language she uses to communicate, she's still ridiculed by almost everyone for being deaf and mute, especially since the movie takes place in the 1910's and people with disabilities were treated poorly. I found Emily to be an interesting OC since she is deaf and mute but is still a great representation of the deaf and mute communities.

I love how you created Emily is this position as she is apprehensive of meeting new people, worried of how they would treat her. Thankfully, she had Milo to step in to defend her.
