I seriously have a love/hate relationship with the hair on it. XD I mean, it looks nice, but the slight curl makes it look poodle-ish. But then you look at Flareon's picture and really, it is kind of poodle-ish on it's own.
Overall, I'm really happy with how it turned out since this is my first time making a standing four-legger pattern. Had to stuff the legs super stiff though, all the weight of that extra fur was going to make him buckle otherwise. It's about 15" long and 13" tall.
But god did I hate working with that fur. Any shiny spots you see on this sucker are hairs that the lint roller managed to miss that were picked up by the flash. OBVIOUSLY I WAS NOT CAREFUL ENOUGH AND NEED TO GO OVER IT. AGAIN.

your right about the fur absorbing the flash, but on the bright side it makes the background darker and the plush stands out more. One problem is the upper left picture is a little dark but not too bad.
