Sergeant Tag

This is E-6 Staff Sergeant Tag, a squad leader assigned to the 1st Battalion, 502nd Parachute Infantry Regiment, a sub-unit of the esteemed 101st Airborne Division "Screaming Eagles". He is photographed here shortly before he and his regiment were deployed to the besieged planet of Wolf-351c, in order to drop in by air and take back a large urban settlement that had been occupied by GPC shock troops as a part of Operation Eagle's Landing (October 21st, 1997). Unfortunately for the troops of the 502nd, they would have to be dropped into a vast expanse of cold, dark wetlands beyond the borders of the city in order to avoid being caught by enemy SAM sites, and make their way towards the settlement mostly by foot. Despite being quite the arduous task, it was nothing new to the members of the regiment, most of which had fought in considerably harsher environments prior to the operation. By sunrise, the regiment had successfully moved in and captured a decent area of the city's outskirts, which comprised mostly of industrial facilities, but were unable to move further into the settlement thanks to the increasing concentration of enemy units in the area and had no choice but to hold their positions until allied air support assets could thin out the numbers of opposing forces on the ground.

His armor features an enhanced communications antenna, as well as a night vision mount to accommodate his AN/PVS-7 NVGs. In the way of weaponry, he's armed with a Colt M4A1 5.56mm Carbine with a maglite taped to the hand guard, in addition to a Beretta M9A1 9mm Pistol, a combat knife, three M67 FRAG Grenades, as well as an M81 yellow smoke grenade and four flashbangs.
