Description
In Slavic myths, vampires aren't killed by a stake through the heart. Instead, they’re pinned to their coffins with it, preventing them from rising again. But what happens when one stays trapped in their coffin for centuries? Vampires grow more powerful the longer they exist, and this one has been buried for so long that he developed telekinesis. Using this ability, he manipulates the dead roots of the graveyard tree he was buried near. Here’s the terrifying part: the vampire has spent hundreds of years feeding on worms, maggots, and any underground vermin that came his way. Sustaining himself on such grotesque sustenance for so long has driven him utterly mad. Now that the tree has finally died and the purity of nature no longer infuses it, he uses its dead roots as grotesque, tentacle-like limbs attached to his coffin. Yet he refuses to leave the coffin—his madness has made him fear the outside world. Instead, he uses the roots to act as his limbs, ensuring he never has to leave the safety of his wooden prison.

If the stake didn't kill the vampire, then fire shall do the trick.
