My Bio

I am an Australian artist from a realm of starlit dreams. I love vibrant colour and vivid imagination, and aspire to thread happiness, paint curiosity and inspire wonder in those who view my work.

I draw inspiration from my natural surroundings, folk tales and spirituality. I have a supreme love for landscapes and nature, and aim to negate feelings of disenchantment in our society; to re-establish feelings of mystery and wonder of our planet in our everyday lives. I am primarily a digital artist, but also dabble in paints and pencils now and then to get back to my traditional roots.

I enjoy twilight walks, genuine smiles, the feel of autumn leaves and the sound of the wind by the ocean.

Viewer’s Note: If you would like to post any of my artworks on an external blog or website, please first ask my permission either via a dA note or through email, and then credit me with a link back to my dA page (here). Viewing is always free, but I will not tolerate stealing.

Happy belated 2015! Hope you are all off to a great start this year. I've been AFK from DA for pretty much all of 2014, testing my skills in a variety of different areas such as wayfinding design, UI design, industrial design and so on. I love mixing my skills in the digital design melting pot, and painting has become more of a happy hobby for me rather than something I want to do full time. I have many new landscape ideas that I'm working on to share with you to break my online lull, having spent a lazy summer by the beach dreaming of fantastical worlds and places. On a more serious note, it was brought to my attention in November last ye...

I recently posted this on my blog and Facebook page, however it’s an issue I am very passionate about as a professional (albeit freelance) artist and designer: free work and the assumption that artists are willing to work for free. As a creative person, I enjoy creating artworks and designs both for myself and for other persons. Let me be very clear about this: just because I  enjoy  my area of work, does not mean I create simply for the pleasure of it. I have chosen creativity as my profession, meaning that this is my source of income and I do expect my time and work to be compensated.  Would you not be horrified as a marine biologist, ac...

As 2013 swiftly draws to a close, many of us will be reflecting upon the choices we've made and the paths our lives have taken us over the past 12 months. As I flick backwards through the pages of my own memory, I feel incredibly grateful for the opportunities I have had, the goals I have achieved and the many sights I have seen. I have learned a lot about myself and my expectations (both reasonable and unrealistic), as well as (a little of) the ways of the big, wide world. The travel bug has bitten me badly, and both my curiosity and love of adventure have only become thirstier. There are so many places I want to see and experience, so I ...
