Agreed, that's certainly part of it! He's not made of very appealing shapes, and the limited flexibility of his rig definitely doesn't help. Drawing him does, though!

Thanks man, I know what you mean! Yooka's model doesn't seem to have much flexibility in either the face or the body, so trying to exaggerate those while drawing him helps him look a bit better, I think!
