For those of you interested in the Wyrdverse stuff, I made some edits, mostly just inserting a human silhouette into some pictures for scale for certain images. You'll mostly see them in the Dragons page, some of the Old Ones like the Unbound, Voracious One, and Burning One, Deities like the Intelligence, and the Beast. So if you want to see how big some of these things are, that should help.

I've been busy working on a new project so to speak. A sort of Superhero-esque universe of my own design. SO expect some stuff to be put out in the very near future.

So I decided to get myself set up with a Patreon account to help me out with finances. I'm not too sure how this stuff will work, but I'll be somewhat active there. If you wish to contribute check out this link-> www.patreon.com/Beastrider9

Did you know, that at any minute, we can go extinct. Between a close enough supernova, a Super Volcanic Eruption, Meteors from Space, Killer Solar Flares, or Solar Flares that wipe out the electrical grid causing mass riots, a pandemic that kills us, Mutually Assured Destruction via nuclear war, or any other such absurd method that can lead to our complete destruction, it's a damn miracle we're still here.

We live on a tiny insignificant dot in a solar system orbiting a yellow dwarf that is so very small compared to the ever expanding cosmos that may one day die itself in many trillions of years. Makes everything seem pointless.

I don't think that any of this, existence that is, means anything other than things have the capability of existing. It's completely indifferent to our pain and pleasure alike. We could all die tomorrow and have nothing to show for it. We don't matter, we just are. That's how I see it anyway.

A lot of Nihilists become shells of a human being. Being little more than depressed people experiencing daily existential horror from their own being. It's kind of sad really.

I honestly don't get it.

I look at the pointlessness of the universe, and smile. I'm glad. Sure there isn't any meaning in the world. But isn't that wonderful in its own right? Because if there isn't any meaning, we can make our own.

TV Tropes would call me an Anti-Nihilist, and I rather like that word.

It's like they say. Life is pointless.

So why not just make each others' lives worthwhile and enjoyable in the meantime? After all there isn't any reason not to. The only thing that matters is letting people know that you care about them, because whatever someone is, has, or can do doesn't mean a damned thing in the end.

I say don't cling to the pain. Don't expect happiness. Don't fear loss. Accept reality as it is. Enjoy the good. Endure the bad. Don't make a big deal out of anything. Be selfless, and unconditionally kind and just, without ever expecting a reward. We're all going to end up as piles of dust, so why not be nice to each other and get those pleasant fuzzies.

Terry Pratchett wrote one of the best books ever written as apart of his Discworld series. It was called Hogfather, now in Hogfather the character of Death and his Granddaughter Susan have the following conversation. This exchange is perhaps one of the most beautiful things ever written in my opinion. This perfectly sums it all up.

“All right," said Susan. "I'm not stupid. You're saying humans need...fantasies to make life bearable."
REALLY? AS IF IT WAS SOME KIND OF PINK PILL? NO. HUMANS NEED FANTASY TO BE HUMAN. TO BE THE PLACE WHERE THE FALLING ANGEL MEETS THE RISING APE.
"Tooth fairies? Hogfathers? Little—"
YES. AS PRACTICE. YOU HAVE TO START OUT LEARNING TO BELIEVE THE LITTLE LIES.
"So we can believe the big ones?"
YES. JUSTICE. MERCY. DUTY. THAT SORT OF THING.
"They're not the same at all!"
YOU THINK SO? THEN TAKE THE UNIVERSE AND GRIND IT DOWN TO THE FINEST POWDER AND SIEVE IT THROUGH THE FINEST SIEVE AND THEN SHOW ME ONE ATOM OF JUSTICE, ONE MOLECULE OF MERCY. AND YET—Death waved a hand. AND YET YOU ACT AS IF THERE IS SOME IDEAL ORDER IN THE WORLD, AS IF THERE IS SOME...SOMERIGHTNESS IN THE UNIVERSE BY WHICH IT MAY BE JUDGED.
"Yes, but people have got to believe that, or what's the point—"
MY POINT EXACTLY.”
YOU NEED TO BELIEVE IN THINGS THAT AREN’T TRUE.  HOW ELSE CAN THEY BECOME?
