Originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Brad Watson Davelaar now calls the lower mainland of British Columbia home. As a teenager, for high school credit, Brad volunteered at Shaw Communications Inc. where he learned the ins and outs of filming and editing. When his volunteer obligations were completed, Brad was hired on as a Shaw employee where his passion for film was ignited. Unfortunately, Brad has struggled with Crohns disease for over 10 years, and there were times, in the past, when the disease got the better of him. For this reason, Brad had to give up an illustrious career at the cable giant, but his creative dreams never took a backseat.

While working as a videographer, Brad picked up a digital SLR to play around with on his spare time. His experience behind the lens of video cameras translated into a natural photographer's eye, and soon, what started out as a hobby, grew to much more. Brad approaches photography like he does life, with a laid back style; he likes to capture the natural beauty in all his subjects, which is why candids are some of his favourite photos to shoot. Because of his easy going nature, models are comfortable shooting with him and experimenting with different looks and poses, which reflects in his photography. Brad is an outside-of-the-box type thinker, so no two shoots are ever the same. He is a very active photographer and likes to shoot from every angle possible. His flair for testing out new positions to shoot from lends to his unique style and produces brilliant and quirky photos for his subjects.
