Description

I decided to remake an old piece of pixel art (that I made at least 6 years ago) in a realistic style. This piece's namesake is a song I did a few years ago.

Surprisingly, this only took me an hour and a half to complete.

I wrote a pretty flowery visual description as the alt text for the bluesky post, I might as well add it here too. Every time I copy an alt-text from a drawing's bluesky post, I always change it up a bit here so you get something a bit different. This is also always the last place I post my art so I get plenty of time to think about how to describe it lol.

The viewer stands on a verdant green hill near the coast of an island. Tall green grass blankets the rich, basaltic soil with a great uniformity.

The day is sunny. The light, lumpy clouds almost fade into the vivid blue sky. The sun itself cannot be seen, but to the right of the image a small portion of its great light can be seen washing out the sky.

-

A starkly deep-blue ocean sprawls into the distance past the grassy cliff's unseen edge. The viewer must be at some great altitude.

-

To the right of the screen is a large, roughly conical island sitting on its lonesome in the vast ocean some distance away. Its peak is tremendously forested; a great contrast to the diminutive and lightly colored shore the lone mount possesses. A light atmospheric haze can be seen on the island due to its great farness and the humid ocean air encasing it. The ocean reflects some of the island's form to the viewer, subtly tinting the ocean with a vegetal green hue.

A treeless green valley appears descend the island from near its peak; perhaps it hints to a volcanic origin.
