I’m so excited to finally be able to post this~ I got an urge to try and make figures of my Esk and decided to start with the simplest (and newest) one, 1736. :3
I started with a crochet base, decided I didn’t like how the stitches looked, and brushed it out a bit to mask the texture. Then I brushed out tons of yarn for the longer fur bits, tied on the wefts, and started crocheting mini roses for them...then hated the texture of the roses against the super smooth fur. So it was felting time! My only actual experience with needle felting is doing the faces on amigurumi so the flowers were a challenge but well worth it in the end.
They have a wire armature inside to allow for posing, but I’m too chicken to bend it after spending so many hours on them lmao. The figure measures 5.5” tall, 2” wide, and 14” long (6” without the tail).
I can’t wait to start doing more of these~

The amount of detail that you added into this is just so stunning! All of the delicate little roses and the way you posed the Esk in front of the rose bush is just such a beautiful artistic touch. ;o;
