I agree. I know grey is his "official" color, but I've always liked him more in black, with silver as an accent. I disliked the robes, too, but I did like the brown tones for some reason. Seems oddly fitting.

"Warrior priest" certainly fits his canonical class combo of Fighter/Cleric/Rogue/Divine Champion.
