I'm Astrapionté and I'm an aspiring zoologist that studies and draws animals! :)
I'm a humble southern boy at heart. Unfortunately growing up, not many people that I knew cared about the natural world. When I was around 7, I started making Animal Encyclopedias for my family. I also began collecting Zoobooks, spending hella time in the non-fiction section of the library, collecting Schleich and Safari LTD figurines, and obsessing over any animal-related media for the rest of my childhood, such as my all time fav franchises: Happy Feet, Hungry Shark, Ice Age, Rio, Madagascar, and Angry Birds.
One of the things I love to do in life is educate the general, uninterested public about the wonders and beauties- and even not-so-beautiful wonders- of the natural world.
Furthermore, as a young wildlife artist, the animals that always interested me had little to no photographic or artistic representation available online. I want to build a menagerie of references for people like me who want to illustrate obscure, fragmentary, and unheard of species. Also note, I use my art to explore ideas and speculations, even if they are inaccurate.
:D
Came across some of your artworks! Pretty darn awesome!
Why, thank you, JWE! I really appreciate the love !
Yo welcome! Keep it up!
I love your art style! Not many people draw prehistoric mammals! Your versions are my favorite!
Aw, I really appreciate that. Thank you so much, Neaji. I love giving our distant cousins some much-needed artistic representation. :))
I absolutely love your art!!
