Description
I've always liked Friday the thirteenths. When I was younger, I used to kind of celebrate them as lucky days (something's only bad luck if you want it to be, you know, and I never really believed in all that). Back in the year 2000, there was a full moon in October on Friday the 13th, and I had just happened to notice an old cemetery behind the house that I had never seen until then (I would later realize there was a road that led to it from elsewhere, called Cemetery Rd, I think, and a spider had built a web on the street sign—actually, I probably realized it that same night). So, I saw this cemetery, and, as the large orange moon rose at sunset, I walked behind the house and took a stroll in the cemetery during the twilight. I thought it was awesome. It's the closest thing you could get to Halloween, a full moon, and Friday the 13th all rolled into one. And there was this mysterious cemetery that had randomly appeared by my house. I half expected it to disappear after that night. :P
I was a weird kid, I guess. But it was a really nice night. Nothing strange happened in the cemetery, but it was neat.
I still like to try remembering Friday the 13ths, but the whole thing with cemeteries and ghosts and stuff ...well, I guess it's still kind of neat in a way, but whatever mysterious stuff is out there, God's above all of it, and I wouldn't want to put any faith into superstitions and spirits—the only thing that'd lead to is destruction.
Anyhow, today's another October Friday the 13th full moon, exactly 19 years later. ...I spent tonight reading fanfics and stepping out only long enough for a few moon photos and a short video of clouds passing the moon. The weatherman mentioned that this was a 'micro moon', and when I looked up about it, I saw that the next Friday the 13th full moon wouldn't be until 2049! ...And it wouldn't even be in October! (When I looked up 'Full moon October 2000'—because I was sure I remembered right, but still—I found this site that tells about both that one and this one, if you'd like more info: fox2now.com/2019/09/13/full-mo…)
Hope you've had a happy Friday the thirteenth.
Edited the levels in Photoshop to bring out the details on the moon and clouds, since the lighting's so different between the two.
A sister shot to this one: fav.me/ddg5e2c (I kind'a like how the linked alternate shot looks like the moon's lit from below)

This is really cool; you need to upload more photography! You have a natural talent. Er...no pun intended there, btw. They just sort of happen to me....
