Earlier this summer, Netflix reached out to DeviantArt with a really remarkable request: to prominently feature some fan art during the red carpet premiere of one of their biggest shows … The Umbrella Academy! Based on the comic book series written by My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way and illustrated by the magnificent artist Gabriel Bá for Dark Horse Comics, this Netflix series revolving around a dysfunctional family of time-hopping superheroes has been a massive hit since its premiere in 2019. So when Netflix wanted to partner with some of our creators, we made it happen! From an absolutely massive selection of incredible fan art for The Umbrella Academy on DA, Netflix selected deviations from more than twenty artists to showcase in the lobby of the world-renowned Egyptian Theater in Hollywood during the red carpet premiere of Season 4 of the series.
