I just recently realized how good AI art can be (I guess I was under a rock until now). I also can see how disruptive this technology will be to the art world.
Personally, at first I was mesmerized by AI art, but now I think it is changing what I focus on. AI has no skin in the game, no hopes and dreams.
Now, I prefer those art pieces that are just not that perfect and more obviously human. I am here to see humans do THEIR art, not machines.
This video has a interesting perspective on this topic from a point of view of an artist. I welcome suggestions of resources to help me learn more about this topic.

My growth as a human

For the majority of my life, I had a fixed mindset where you are what you are. You are either smart or you are not etc. My whole world changed when I started embracing the growth mindset, if I am not good at something that matters to me, I just need to keep practicing. That helped me to rediscover my art. Some of these recent pieces were my so called "failures" in the past. At that point I was just not bold enough in my colors and my style. There is still a voice in my head that dismissed my flow of colors as not serious art, but I lovingly tell that voice that it is wrong. This is my art that I make for me. It is art. It is me.

so I think I missed the lesson on online community etiquette. I see that people give each other Llamas, but what do they mean? Do they mean anything? What are the reasons for someone to give a Llama. Does it mean, they your work is kind of cool? Or is it like an icebreaker, you want to start chatting with someone, but are not sure if he/she is an a... so you sent a exploratory Llama?
