Description
The Egerland is located in the northwestern part of Bohemia (today Czech Republic), it´s the most northeastern
cultural area of the Bavarians and was famous for its spa towns, such as Karlsbad, Marienbad and Franzensbad.
The historical clothing and music is obviously bavarian and lasted there until the big expulsion of 1945. Some Germans
could stay, but most of the rest left in the 60s and 70s. A tiny minority can be still found in some communities there today.
