The Felt Owl and The Glass Owl

Pretty funny story with this one. So, a while back, I was second-hand shopping with my sister sometime before Christmas. While rummaging through Christmas decorations, I find some glass ornaments in one basket. Some were already broken, others were just some weird looking pineapples, but then I find this dark blue owl ornament, with white glitter filling in gaps between the feathers. It was only a dollar so it was a 'sure, why not?' kind of purchase. As soon as I brought it home, I put it on the Christmas tree among the other ornaments. Unknowlingly, I placed it not far form another owl ornament that I own: a brown and cream one that I got from a gift shop years ago. Seeing them side my side, I got an idea... an awful idea... I got myself a wonderful, awful idea! My impulse to ship took over and I started imagining them in a romantic relationship. I kept posting them on Bluesky, including a sketch that I'd later reference for this piece that I'd use as a gift label.

I might even go so far as to write a story about them. A forbidden romance of two owls from two different worlds and materials. Who knows...
