Hey all! Liz here.
What can I say? I'm a lover of languages. I'm currently studying French (out of personal interest) and German (in honor of the best grade school teacher I had), but I'd like to someday learn Russian, perhaps Japanese, and perhaps Latin, because you just never know.
I also really, REALLY want to travel the world- though money and time are two very big limitations. There's a lot out there to see, so why let it go unseen?
Writing is my passion. I know my works are generally awful (at least, the ones on here aren't the greatest), and I'm HIGHLY prone to art block (you should see the fragments in my Google Drive), but...it's a wonderful escape. It's a great way to live, you know? I'm also fairly into artistic hobbies, generally in the traditional realm, but I can't say I'm too good with anything yet.
Lately I've picked up a major affection for musical theatre, so my heroes are some of my favorite actors. Whenever I get down on myself about my singing/theatre ("I really missed that note..." "I haven't done a single play yet, is it too late?") I just think about them, and I remember that they undoubtedly faced the same situation...and I throw myself back into it with double the strength I thought I had.
But, with a love of musical theatre comes an affection for musicals! Les Mis is the major one right now (Victor Hugo is a man I look up to, honestly), but I'm in love with the Wicked soundtrack (I haven't seen the play itself, but the songs are just so...I don't know) and have a large fondness for Next to Normal and RENT. And I'm always up for people introducing me to new ones!
Other than that, I'm a big lover of anime, Doctor Who, Sherlock, and Supernatural, though the latter I haven't been too caught up on recently. Still, I enjoy those shows, and I look up to several of the actors in them as well- Doctor Who and Sherlock made up a fair part of my younger years, so it's hard not to feel at least a little love for them!
