Pets with black coats are always a good challenge! I tried incorporating the ochres from the background into the highlights of this lovely girl's fur, but it was hard not making her look jaundiced... Balance with lots of cool tones to cut down on the heat of this summer day!

Oh my, she looks so much like our first family pet dog and she was named Daisy. She was such a sweet and gentle dog. She was with us for 15 years. My sister and I's childhood friend. Thank you for sharing this picture here on DA
