This A5 watercolour painting was my creative yule-gift for my father last year (2015).
He is a huge fan of Pink Floyd and a true audiophile, both things he passed down to me which I am very grateful for.
It's inspired by the cover art by George Hardie for the Pink Floyd album The Dark Side of the Moon.
I achieved some of the weird effects by accident because I was trying out a method and it kind of backfired, but then it went and became a pretty cool effect after all. I wanted the triangle white, so I glued a premade hotglue triangle on the paper with a very small amount of ordinary stick-glue. I realise that this was pretty stupid, but it was after 03am, so my brain wasn't really as bright as usual... So of course the glue dissolved as soon as I started painting - and the glue went into the paint and made it kind of grainy, almost like it was coagulating, and it actually ended up looking kind of cool, haha. I might experiment more with the effect and see what I can do with it when I am actually doing it on purpose xD
