My entry for the SakuraCon mascot contest in designing the mascot for the 2011 convention.
She was a lot of fun to draw and the pattern in her dress took some work to create, but I am super happy with the results and totally worth it.

Overall Vision Originality Technique
ImpactAbove all I must say that the coloring on this is simply gorgeous, you have the cel shading style down very nicely but the girl herself is having some serious anatomy problems.
First of all is the placement of all the of facial features, her eyes are too high up, her nose too low and her mouth also too high. I’d advise looking at a picture of an anime person or a real person to get a better feel as to the placement of those features.
Secondly, her legs are a chunky in comparison to the rest, they should be skinner and there should be more of a contrast between the ankle and calves.
