JLU | Hasta la vista

I finished this a couple of days ago before I announced my hiatus for the exams lol. I felt like uploading something, this is so typical of me, when I don't have time I want to draw or have all these ideas and projects I want to realise and when I do have time I suffer from the occasional art block.

I'm going to keep it brief as I do need to continue studying, but I think this is the first time we see more of her hero outfit, well, the Apokoliptian one anyway. This is what she wears after being captured and rescued from Apokolips. I do have a reference sheet, but some of the outfits are not finished, which is also typical for me as I have had lots of character designs and ideas for years, just never finished or uploaded them. I think I came up with this outfit in 2023 or even 2022, I'm not even sure. Trust me, there are many characters, concepts, ideas, and way older projects than that. Hopefully, I'll be able to upload her character design this year, fingers are crossed!

The scene takes place during a fight at the Fortress of Solitude and well Mongul in JLU is known to be sexist and he demeaningly calls her "baby" as if she's this helpless child who cannot do anything without help from a man. This spurred her response of "Hasta la vista, baby." before shooting him with a laser blast or blast that sent him to the Phantom Zone. I'm not sure yet how the story ends.
