|"Okay I’ll think about it”. “Yay”. Alec rolled his eyes and we headed back to the Institute. Once we got back in I avoided Maryse and headed straight for my room. A little while later I heard a knock at the door. I opened it and saw Izzy scurrying rapidly inside. "Izzy?" "We have to go". "Go where?" "We got a report of some bodies that are minus their heads. "Headless? That's a new one". Izzy nodded and I got up off my bed and followed her out. I saw Alec gearing up and I picked up my blade. "Where's Clary?" "Clary isn't ready for a mission like this yet. She's a liability".
"Alec she needs to learn sometime. You can't keep sheltering her. She's a Shadowhunter". He scoffed and mumbled. "What was that?" "Nothing". He grabbed his bow and arrows and walked out. I rolled my eyes as Izzy and I followed him. "What's his issue?" "He's an uptight boy what do you expect?" I shrugged. He doesn't seem to be opening up to Clary that well".
