I'm submitting this as my best photo of 2014 because I believe it's one of the best pieces in my gallery. I love the balance between what's above the water and what's below, and even though the reflection is distorted by waves, I find that it enhanced the piece rather than make it "flawed". Originally, this was just a picture I took; nothing else, but I've found meaning in it.
There is a fine line between drowning and flying, but no matter what your current views or feelings, it's all just a matter of how you see things. You can see that the dark distorted reflection in the water isn't that much different from what's in the open air: you can always find some light.
