What you should know if you travel to Cuba from November 15th 2021

 Update of the sanitary protocols for entry to Cuba as of 15.11.2021

The new update of sanitary protocols will be for ALL passengers arriving to Cuba (including Cuban citizens and foreigners residents of Cuba)

       The new update of sanitary protocols will be as follows:

  •  No 72 hours PCR test is needed before travelling to Cuba for vaccinated passengers,only the vaccination certificate (Green Pass) will be requested upon the arrival and Non-Vaccinated travelers need a 72 hours PCR TRAVEL test before travelling to Cuba (Mandatory)
  • Entering Cuba, PCR test will be randomly selected
  • In the event that a client is positive, the protocols define the transfer to a hotel-hospital: tourist structure enabled by Mintur and Minsap for isolation and medical care
  • Passengers need to have a covid cover insurance while their visiting in Cuba you can buy it on line through www.cuba.travel at principal page, section Insurance
  • Cuban citizens, foreigners residents of Cuba and tourists will be allowed to travel safely all over the island and NO quarantine will be needed on arrival
  • If you need the 72hrs pcr test before travelling back to your country, the cost will be 30USD paid by credit card. PCR test is done at the hotel or you can contact the nearest International Clinic (recommended to make an appointment for the pcr test 5 days before departure with the tour operator representative at the hotel or the international clinic itself)

    Other information of interest to foreign visitors

  • Dollar or Euros currency is widely accepted at the majority of tourism areas in Cuba (payments with credit card and debit visa is accepted) Cash is accepted as well. for payments outside of the touristic zone (rural or suburban areas) payments will be in Cuban peso
  • Credit cards issued by Americans banks are not accepted in Cuba
  • For luggage restrictions and weight allowance, please consult airline policies.
