Los Mogotes de Jumagua, constitute another of the attractions of nature in the destination. There are 8 hills that rise 87 meters above sea level. Although ignored by many people, they result in an unequaled natural beauty and are considered as a fascinating tourist destination where you can practice ecotourism. These are located in the municipality of Sagua la Grande and are the second largest rock formation in the country. These have been declared as a National ecological reserve.

Due to the high concentration of different species of flora and fauna, these mogotes represent a site of high interest for scientists and biologists. The ecosystem seems to be a small ecological island where you can still see some remains of what was a primitive forest of the nation.

In the area there are several fascinating caverns that are part of this natural sanctuary. Some of these have names like La Gruta Verde, La Cueva del Agua, Sijú or La Cueva de los Lagartos. Its walls are decorated for centuries by pictographs made by the Indians who lived there. The presence of fossils and vestiges of corsair and mambises visits is added to the forested area, which gives it great historical value.
